I am a selected BEF Sport England Young Professional Dressage rider, fully qualified and insured UKCC British Dressage coach, BD Youth Ambassador and representative, Centre 10 Coach, and Rider Mindset Coach. I offer coaching, support and schooling services for all ages and abilities across the South East.

I hold an up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate, BHS First Aid certificate and a Safe Guarding certificate.

Coaching

My philosophy is that people rarely succeed unless they’re having fun with what they’re doing.

I’m a  UKCC accredited coach, but qualifications need to go alongside enjoyment, patience and understanding. Having produced my own horse to compete at the higher levels, I understand how hard the journey can be.

That’s why my lessons are always focused on you - making sure you’re comfortable and enjoying what you do, so together we can get the best results for you and your horse.

I offer coaching for all abilities and all ages, whether individually or in small group.

Competition prep

I’ve competed more times than I can remember! I started with local Pony Club events at age six, competing across show-jumping, cross-country, and dressage.

Many competitions a year and a decade later, I now compete in front of FEI judges Premier League and High Profile shows.

Preparation is vital to success, and I’ve learnt many hard lessons along the way. With this experience I can teach you things I wish I knew earlier, so you can succeed in your riding journey with minimal stress and maximum enjoyment.

I offer test riding practice for all abilities and ages, so whatever stage you’re at you can walk into your next competition with the confidence you need to be at your best.

Ridden training

My horse Willoughby was bred to race, and in 2013 we were competing in BE100 events. Speed is his birthright - with the intricacies of dressage not being his strong suit.

However, five years later he performed dressage in front of the Queen, with The Hickstead Quadrille - this was a huge honour to be selected by Dane Rawlins and Jennie Loriston Clarke.

It was tough, but through this I’ve learnt the best methods to get the most out of a huge variety of horses, regardless of their breeding.

Using this powerful first-hand experience, I offer ridden training for your horse from prelim to international level, so your horse can continue to improve towards whatever you as a rider want to achieve.

Sports psychology

My journey wasn’t easy.

To be competing amongst very capable riders and their horses with Willoughby - who would start spinning at the sound of a tannoy - brought a lot of anxiety and imposter syndrome; was my horse good enough? Was I good enough? The adrenaline kicks in, your horse reacts, and suddenly you both find yourselves on edge - the fluid transitions you practiced now replaced with jittering nerves.

But, with the help of specific techniques, I have learnt from the Centre 10 Team, fear can be overcome. It took me many years to learn the mental skills needed to go alongside my physical ones, and now sports psychology is a huge part of my coaching philosophy.

I can offer you the techniques and knowledge needed to unlock your true potential. Often our biggest obstacles are in our heads, and with the right guidance you can put the gremlins to rest and achieve more than you ever thought possible.
